Getting rid of the brown proved to be harder than expected. I stripped my hair at least 4 times, and each time the blond roots got a little longer, and the red got a little shorter. This is after the very first attempt. I looked like a bad dye job for a week or two.
These pictures elicited the comment "it's Kate Winslet!" which was nice and flattering, because it was before _Titanic_. Lucky for him. After _Titanic_ and I might have had to cause some damage.
These pictures were taken in late 1997 or early 1998. I know this because I have a sweater on, so it must have been winter. Other than that, I'm not really sure *when* this was.
