So, while I was blond, I decided I wanted to do a nice pastel green. Fudge makes a white mixer, and I figured I could mix some yellow submarine into the 1/2 tube of mr. green jeans I had left, and viola!
It didn't *quite* work like that.
Originally, I had 1 tube of whiter shade of pale, 1 tube of yellow submarine and 1/2 tube of mr. green jeans. I mixed them all together and what did I get? 2 1/2 tubes of mr. green jeans. So the dyeing was postponed.
So today I went and got 2 more tubes of whiter shade of pale. I put them in a container, and then put a squirt of the above mixed stuff. AND IT CAME OUT TOO DARK AGAIN.
I suppose any artist who works with mixing color could have told me that that's what would happen. As a matter of fact one DID when I complained about the first attempt (Hi, Colin!). Except, I though a SQUIRT wouldn't be too much in TWO TUBES OF THE WHITE STUFF. Now I have lime spider again.
But at this point, I've been waiting to dye it funny colors for so long, I just went ahead and did it anyway. It's kind of a "green candy apple" color. Not quite lime spider. Who am I kidding? I's fucking lime spider all over again. I may streak it darker green or something. I dunno.
*sigh* Annoying. But at least it's no longer normal. I was getting really sick of blond.
