words, words, words, I'm so sick of words
well every now and then, when I'm not hanging out with friends I like to
curl up with a book. And these are the books I'm most likely to be found
curled up with.
- The
Wheel Of Time and other Robert Jordan books. I have loved each and
every book in the Wheel of Time series. Enough to join a newsgroup about
it.
- The Lord of the
Rings J.R.R. Tolkein. Enough said.
- The Vampire
Chronicles and other Anne Rice stories. An interesting view into a
darker world. Whether her characters are creatures of the night, or 14
year old girls. She has an interesting story to tell.
- The Dreaming and other
Neil Gaiman classics. Neil Gaiman is quite possibly my favorite author.
From Good Omens, which had me hooked, to the Sandman which kept me
enthralled until it's end. His view of life is very realistic and his
writing is brilliant. I highly suggest anything with his name on it.
Especially the entire graphic novel series, The Sandman.
- The
Dragonriders of Pern and other Anne McCaffrey books. I was first
introduced to her writing in seventh grade. And I've been hooked ever
since. From her Pern series, to the Crystal Singer series, to The Powers
That Be and on. I've loved every one of her books, and await each next
one.
- The Amber Series A
series of books by Roger Zelazny. I finally finished the entire series and
they were excellent. Welcome to the Amber, the one real true world. All
others are simply shadows. And remember, trust everyone like a
relative.
