Imagemaps and new windows

I'm pretty sure this falls into this mailing list...

I'm in the process of developing an image map.  I would like some of 
the regions, when selected to open a new window or load in the _top 
level of the window.  These are of course (or maybe not), docs that 
are out of my control so I can't do it via a TARGET in the body.

Any ideas as to how I should do this?
