I guess that solution is simple : you MUST use in ALL image tags on
your page "width" and "height" parameters like this :
<img src="http://www.ricksmith.com/temp/newrick.gif" alt="photo of rick" align=left hspace=15 width=100 height=100>
Don't know what's a reason, but it affects to JavaScript handlers.
