The stronghold of the Silver Dragons, it has been under attack a multitude
of times and each attack has been repelled with little damage to the
island or to those upon it. It has become known to the participants of
the secret war that any attack on the Silver Dragons must take place
oputside the confines of the island.
But that does not provide absolute safety for them, as the island is
small, and although it's Chi is strong, if an opponent could manage to
wrest most of the chi sites away from others, they could change enough to
break Master Tso's establishment. A fact master Tso well knows and does
his best to prepare for, and avert the happening of.
As well as being the residence of Master Tso and his students, and housing
various Silver Dragons from time to time, Master Tso's island also serves
as a holding place for many national and antique treasures, as well as
many items of powerful Chi that have been wrested away from the combatants
in the Secret War who would use them for evil. These items were brought
back here upon recovery so that the Prof might have access to them, and
that they might have the protection of Master Tso's seemingly invulnerable
fortress.
These items help contribute to the Chi of the island, and many of the
students who work closely with them also become attuned to them, gifting
them with the power to sense those items if they are near to them.
Beyond the fact that these items are powerful, they are also priceless in age and singularity and fighters of the Secret War are not the only ones who might seek them out.
It is said that once, many years before, a team of thieves managed what no
team of Secret War fighters ever accomplished. They gained access to
Master Tso's Island and managed to escape with a few very precious items
from it. Expecting the worst, Master Tso traced the trio of thieves to
their lair expecting to find them engrossed in discussions with the
Ascended or another Secret War participant. Instead he found them
returning the stolen icons to the monks who manned the temple
they had originally been taken from nearly two thousand years before.
Master Tso, stayed on after the retreat of the thieves to talk with the
monks who escorted the iconsback to their home. Upon questioning, the
monks told him the trio had followed the research given them about the
lost icons and sought to return them to their rightful place for the
benefit of the local people whom had placed much superstition about the
health of their lives and their village in the mysterious disappearal of
those icons. The icons, long missing were now to be returned to their
home to bring luck back to them.
Master Tso followed the monks home, providing them protection on the way,
and upon his entrance to the village, realized that the return of the
icons completed the flow of Chi in the village causing it to return to the
Feng Shui site it had once been. As life returned to the village, Master
Tso gained the goodwill of the people in it, and gained their alliance.
Now, his students provide protection and help to the village as it slowly
regains it's feet, and Master Tso seeks out the mysterious trio who
managed their way past his stronghold, not for their own gain but for the
good of an entire village. Perhaps those mysterious strangers would make
strong members of the Silver Dragons.
Better that, than let them slip to the Ascended, knowing what they know.
