Coming home

My father gets home tomorrow! yay! I'll feel a lot better once he's home safe from Kabul. Granted, he's already left there, but you know what I mean.
So yes, looking forward to seeing him tomorrow.

what I did today

well, Adam was nice enough to take me over to the Woodson parking lot and attempt to teach me to drive a manual transmission. I think I did pretty well for a first attempt. Only real trouble was getting moving after coming to a stop going uphill. Kept stalling. Oh well, keep trying.
Also, got bored, and tampered with my MTG Beast deck some. hopefully made it better, more streamlined. I'll have to test it against Evan's Goblin Deck later. I traded him some cards that made his deck much more powerful the other day, and I just kept losing to it. Got annoying after about game five.

added a tracker, so people can see where I get hits from. Doesn't do me any good for the past, but with Jess in Sweden, and other friends soread out all over, plus random hits from people I don't know it should be interesting. (i'd put a link here, but what's the point? it doesn't show anything yet)

A movie worth seeing...

just saw Saved! It was great! I felt like punching half the characters in the face, cause they were such religious fanatics. It was, however. a good example of how stupid this behavior can be. ANd the main character was a good example of most Christians, and the doubts they have. THe most of us are pretty open-minded, folks! THat's kinda what Jesus was all about. Look who he hung out with, tax ollectors, fisherman, hookers, lepors... you get the idea

back to the dentist today... woo-hoo. =\ My teeth are looking even better than the last time I was in apparently, three weeks ago. Dr. Brown even replced my lost fillings, so mmy teeth look better physically as well as health-wise. THey look kinda yellow to me, though. thankfully, I've got whitening toothpaste, so that should help

yay, bowling!

went bowling with Evan tonight. Man, I suck at that game. BEst score was on the first round, with a grand total of 101. Woo-hoo.

Jess left yesterday. I took her to the bus station, and then felt horribly depressed the rest of the day. Same today. And it was slo at work, so I had time to think about how much I miss her. :(

my mother gets home from India tomorrow, where she's been for about a week with my father for their 25th anniversary. It'll be good to have her home, but she'll be tired, and probably a little depressed at having to be seperated from Dad again. He'll be home soon, though, which will also be nice.

Jess and I went and saw the new Harry Potter movie yesterday! Having not read the book, I can't judgemhow close it is, but it was good movie.

Went and saw Shrek 2 the other day with Jess. It was really good, which was a pleasant surprise. Jess says she wants Puss in Boots. Sexually.
We went to the zoo today! And that was fun, too because, like me, Jess knows random facts about all the animals.
